Alex Stalenberg

Dutch, born in 1955.
"The shapes of his sculptures for some reason border on the obscene."
Tumultuous youth brought Stalenberg quickly to the Amsterdam night scene at the age of 15. The dancing, singing theatre & music world and the crazy life in the Amsterdam Gay scene pledged Stalenbergs first steps in Live. Early meeting with philosophers helped him to construct a reason for living and logic. Art helped him to express feeling, senses and 'return to the source'. Nature has been, and still are his best school for understanding and remained one of the influences for his today's research for new harmonies.
His work was often showed in unexpected places to bring it closer to the people. Many of his works entered in private collections worldwide.
Representation in Germany:
