Painter, born in Tehran Iran in 1981.
She is now based in Toronto Canada
and graduated, July 2006 with a B.A. in Painting.
Being in a new environment, she is revisiting the abstentions that have twisted and entangled her culture and sense of self in relation to the environment that she occupied in her hometown, Tehran.
In her latest works she is searching for her Mother Tree.
"Mother Tree means a lot of things to me. It is like searching for something that you don't know what it is exactly. Sometimes It is a real tree that I feel I want to go under it's skin and become one with it. Sometimes it is me changing to a tree, like when I lie under the Sun and feel the Sun's heat on my skin and fantasize that it is dehydrating and getting darker and stiffer identical with a tree's skin."
